Two posts inside a month? Lockdown is doing strange things to us all.
Following up on our donation to our old primary school last week, we are now proud to announce the re-development of the Ballyduff GAA website.
We completed this project free of charge under the direction of Secretary, Michael Hussey and Club Development Officer, John Paul Leahy and it will no doubt prove to be a great resource for our club and the community as a whole.
As ever, we are proud to support our great club and the aim is to grow it in the months & years to come.
Michael Hussey, Ballyduff GAA Secretary:
Over the last number of years, we in the club had spoken about revamping the website to try and get more benefit from it. I had numerous chats with Paudie County about getting it looked at and changed up as he was involved in getting it up and going first day. It was always left on the long finger until everything that unfolded in the last 12 months.
No longer were the clubs' grounds a hive of activity every evening, with underage and adult teams gathering for training and games while parents chatted amongst themselves about everything going on in the world. And with the blessing of Paudie, we decided to approach Aidan O’ Carroll of Avalanche to go about ‘looking’ at our old website and see if he could bring it into the 21st century.
Aidan is a former player of ours, now also a club sponsor, and a good friend of mine who I had played hurling and football with at from U8’s to senior level. From the first minute, nothing was a problem. Aidan got to work with planning out what we would need for each aspect of the website and gave his expertise and experience along the way. Everything we asked of him was delivered and so much more.
Aidan was also generous enough to build the new website completely free of charge and the club would like to thank him for his continuous support, now more than ever.
The benefits of having an appealing and attractive website are unimaginable. From uploading fixtures and results of all teams, pictures of teams new and old for everyone to enjoy while also keeping the general members up to date with all the going-on and developments within the club.
Our range of clothing from our online shop can be showcased through the website while paying for a yearly membership and buying weekly lotto tickets can all be complete here. All our social media pages will be linked to the website to make it a one-stop-shop. Also, it allows us to offer online advertising to potential sponsors something we have not done in the past. With former players worldwide, it also allows Ballyduff people both local and further afield to catch up with everything happening with their home club and community.
Aidan out.
